Important: By creating an account, registering, or using UB League, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the UB League mobile application, the UB League website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). “UB League,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to UB League.

1) Overview

UB League provides features such as player and spectator registration, player profiles, headshots, profile galleries, highlight video links, schedules, availability updates, stats, leaderboards, donations/merch tracking, and admin tools. Some features may be limited by role (player, spectator, admin).

2) Eligibility

  • You must be at least 14 years old to register or use the Services.
  • If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • The Services are not intended for children under 14.

3) Accounts & Security

  • You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Services.

4) Roles & Access (Players, Spectators, Admins)

The Services may present different views and permissions depending on your role:

  • Spectators/Fans: typically view-only access to public league content and may register for updates.
  • Players: may manage their own profile content (where enabled) such as bio, theme, gallery images, and videos.
  • Admins: may manage league operations (rosters, content moderation, schedules, stats administration, etc.).

5) Community Rules

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Post hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise illegal content.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use.
  • Upload viruses or malicious code, or try to disrupt the Services.
  • Use the Services to spam or to solicit money outside approved UB League channels.
We may remove content or suspend accounts at any time if we believe content violates these Terms, harms others, or creates legal risk.

6) User Content (Photos, Videos, Messages)

Photos (Profile headshot & gallery)

  • You may upload images to your profile where enabled (e.g., headshot and up to 4 gallery photos).
  • You must have the legal right to upload and share the content (including permission from anyone shown).

Videos (Highlight links)

  • Video highlights are typically stored as links/URLs (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo, or other providers).
  • We do not control third‑party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms.

License you grant to UB League

By uploading or submitting content to the Services, you grant UB League a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content within the Services (for example, showing your photos/videos on your player profile and related league views). This license ends when you delete the content, except where copies are required for backup, legal, or security reasons.

Prohibited Content & Enforcement

UB League may allow users to upload or share content such as profile photos, gallery images, and highlight video links (“User Content”). You are responsible for the User Content you post or submit.

Prohibited Content

You agree you will not upload, post, share, or link to content that:

  • Contains or promotes real‑world graphic violence, gore, or violent injury images/videos.
  • Encourages violence, threats, intimidation, or harm toward any person or group.
  • Harasses, bullies, or targets someone with hateful or abusive content.
  • Is illegal, deceptive, or violates another person’s rights.
  • Includes sexual content involving minors, or any exploitative content.

Violent Content Policy

UB League does not permit public sharing of real‑world graphic violence (outside of a clearly newsworthy context). If a user uploads or shares violent/graphic content, it violates UB League rules.

Enforcement

We may remove User Content at any time (with or without notice). Violations may result in:

  • Content removal
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent expulsion from the app and/or league
  • Account blocking, termination, and/or deletion

We may also restrict features (such as uploading) for users who violate these rules. Where appropriate, we may preserve and share information with law enforcement or comply with legal requests.

Reporting

To report content, email support@ubleague.com with screenshots and the username/player name involved.

7) Stats, Leaderboards, and Availability

  • Stats and leaderboards are provided for informational and entertainment purposes.
  • We do not guarantee that stats, rankings, schedules, or availability status are always accurate or up to date.
  • Availability updates are based on player/admin input and may change.

8) Purchases, Donations, and Receipts (If Offered)

UB League may support purchases (e.g., merchandise) and/or donations. When you register, your information may be used to match purchases/donations to the correct person for recordkeeping, receipts, and acknowledgements.

  • Payments may be processed by third‑party providers. Their terms and privacy policies may apply.
  • Refund and cancellation policies (if any) will be provided at checkout or by UB League support.

9) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

10) Player Waiver & Sports Safety

Players: participation in basketball and related activities involves risk of injury. Players must accept the Player Waiver before registering and/or participating.

UB League is not a medical provider. Always consult a qualified professional for medical advice.

11) Intellectual Property

UB League and its logos, branding, app design, and Service content (excluding user content) are owned by UB League or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

12) Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.

13) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UB LEAGUE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR INFORMATION.

14) Termination

  • You may stop using the Services at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide notice in-app or via email.

16) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where UB League operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles. (If you want this to be specific, set it to your home state/country.)
